Below is anything and everything you might need to know about ordering cookies from Missy's Sugar Shop, but if you still have a question, you can email me using the Contact page.
My cookies DO NOT come from an allergy free kitchen. They are prepared with equipment that also processes nuts, wheat, eggs, and dairy.
Cookies are made with the finest ingredients: Butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla bean paste, butter emulsion, cookie nip, salt, flour, meringue powder, corn syrup, powdered sugar, and food coloring gels.
Cookies come individually heat-sealed in a cellophane bag for freshness.
Storing Cookies: Place heat-sealed cookies in an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for 7-10 days.
Freezing Cookies: Place heat-sealed cookies in an airtight container and freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw cookies in container at room temperature for several hours. Do not open the lid until completely thawed. Never thaw cookies in the refrigerator!
Cancellation of cookies must be made 7 days prior to the "ship out" date you choose at checkout in order to receive a refund.
USPS shipping (on average) takes between 3-5 days. Please understand there may be delays during certain times of the year. You can choose an earlier than needed "Ship Out" date to play it safe and then freeze your cookies to preserve freshness. Instructions on how to freeze cookies properly are included with each order. Or you can opt for Priority Express shipping at checkout. There are NO REFUNDS given for orders that arrive late. Please consider this when ordering.
Your cookies are packed with extreme care (double-boxed with a lot of bubble wrap) to ensure they arrive in the same condition they left. I am not responsible for USPS mishandling causing breakage or damage, nor am I responsible for regular shipping delays, delays due to incorrect address information given, weather or disaster conditions, nor for carrier or charges incurred for redelivery attempts.
Refunds will not be issued for: minor cracks in the frosting, craters (indents in the royal icing) minor chips of the cookie, or minor bleeding. (Dark colors have a tendency to bleed and there is no way to prevent this, but I do my best to minimize it!)
If I made an error in the cookie, (the color is wrong, etc.) only the cookies affected will be discounted/refunded.
For local pickup in the Fitchburg/Madison, WI area, please select the Local Pickup option at checkout to waive the cost of shipping. Your cookies will be ready for pickup on the day you choose at checkout. We can determine a specific time closer to the pickup date.
